Key Skills
Subsidies and Grants In depth knowledge of Single Payment Scheme, Entry Level Stewardship and Higher Level Stewardship. Liaison and negotiation with the RPA, Natural England and DEFRA. Range of experience of Grants, Woodland Schemes and Wildlife Schemes.
Planning and Development Rural and commercial planning. Development site planning. Barn conversions / alternative use planning.
Valuations and Sales Involved with advising on the valuation and sales of agricultural and residential properties. Taxation and probate valuations. Lending security valuations.
Landlord and Tenant Knowledge of Landlord / Tenant issues relating to Farm Business Tenancies and Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies
Education BSc (Honours) in Rural Studies – University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Postgraduate Diploma in Surveying - College of Estate Management, Reading University. Qualified member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Background Grew up in County Durham, worked for NFU Mutual selling agricultural insurance inbetween finishing university and joining George F White.
