Simon Britton, Equity Partner and Head of Rural at George F. White, steps up from Vice-Chairman this week to take on the role of Chairman of the British Institute of Agricultural Consultants.
With over 25 years of experience in agriculture and rural business consultancy, Simon firmly believes that farmers and rural business owners will increasingly need additional professional advice and guidance from Farm Business Consultants over the coming years, more so than they have ever done, due to the changes brought about by the UK Agricultural Act 2020.
“The latest series of George F. White spring seminars has highlighted the desire by those in the agricultural sector to make educated decisions as to the future of their rural businesses, the series saw our highest ever turnout and since then we have received numerous calls requesting advice”.
“For me, it is encouraging that farmers and landowners are seeking professional advice, this is the most significant change to the sector in recent times and I hope that the role as Chairman of BIAC will allow me to both directly and with the assistance of those within the organisation to provide even more assistance to those both regionally and nationally”.
