After a successful first round, DEFRA have announced a second round of grants under The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund, part of the Farming Investment Fund.
The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund offers funding for specific items, spilt across two key grants:
Productivity and Slurry (open later this month)
Improving agricultural sustainability and horticultural and forestry productivity, helping farmers use less inputs, reduce emissions and cut waste.
Animal Health and Welfare (available in March)
Improving the health and welfare of livestock, potentially helping farmers improve biosecurity or decrease environmental stress.
Farmers, foresters and growers in England, including contractors to these sectors, can apply for a grant between £1,000 and £25,000. Grants go towards the cost of specific items from a prescribed list – click to view items.
Please note that new items have been new items have been added to the list for 2023, including:
· Weed Wiper
· Calf Coats
· Snacker Feeder
· Lamb Creep Feeder
· Lamb Auto Milk Feeder
· Sheep Race
· Water bowser with trough
· Vaccine refrigerator
· Water heater
