Ellie Exelby, a Rural Surveyor within our Yorkshire team, has been awarded a prize bursary to represent the Yorkshire Agricultural Society at the Oxford Real Farming Conference in January 2022.
Ellie, one of three individuals selected, will visit the county’s oldest university city in the New Year to hear and take part in a series of wide-ranging and topical debates relating to the agricultural sector and its future.
Based on an organic mixed farm situated in the Yorkshire Dales Ellie has from a young age embraced the farming life and took that passion for agriculture to Harper Adams University where she successfully completed an undergraduate degree in Countryside and Environmental Management. Continuing her journey Ellie went on to graduate with a Masters in Rural Estate and Land Management in 2019 and last year qualified as a professional member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
Following the visit to Oxford, Ellie will, along with the other two delegates Joe Weston and Pete Meadows, share her experiences with the society members.
Simon Britton, Partner and Head of Rural at George F. White commented “This is a fantastic opportunity for Ellie to take in a range of views and indeed share her own, we pride ourselves on having a team that combines good practical farming knowledge with an appropriate application of future thinking and we are incredibly proud of Ellie in securing this opportunity and very much looking forward to learning about her experiences in January”.
